Bird Watching from Galle

Escape to one of the most beautiful and offbeat rain forests in Sri Lanka

A relaxed bird watching tour out on the less trodden paths of the Kanneliya rain forest and around Galle. The spectacular Kanneliya forest reserve where most of the birding is done is home to at least 17 of the 33 endemics of Sri Lanka including the rare Red-faced Malkoha, Green-billed Coucal and the endangered White-faced Starling. You may see the rare resident Mountain Hawk Eagle or happen upon the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher by the freshwater stream.
